Noriega Furniture is the last great independent furniture store in the Bay Area.  The quality of their furniture is exceptional.  Although they are famous for their Stickley / Mission furniture, they have a wide and eclectic range of other styles and periods on the floor, and if it's not on the floor they can order it for you.  They represent many high end lines of fine American-made and international furniture, of a high caiber that retailers like Macys don't even have catalogs for (let alone carry).  Noriega's staff is incredible.  I work with Andrea, who is absoutely fantastic, and who has become a wonderful friend as well as somebody whom I can count on to really guide me to the right pieces.  And whether I am buying one of their great "on sale" bargains, or a high end Kindel reproduction worth several thousand dollars, Andrea gives me an incredible amount of experience, knowledge, time and care, and is simply the best.  Michael, who owns the store, is a true expert in the furniture business, and is carrying on a family tradition.  Stores like this just do not hardly exist anymore in our chain-store, trend-of-the-moment, cheap-shoddy-import permeated, prefabricated, mass-produced world, and should be treasured.  And check out their sales -- they have some really good ones a few times per year where prices are slashed on some incredible pieces. Noriega Furniture is one of San Francisco's great "independents," and completely worth a visit if you are looking for truly quality furniture and accessories.  And it's worth a trip to just savor the glorious scents of fine leather upholstery and fragrant, polished woods which greet you when you open the door.  Don't be fooled by the store's seemingly small size -- there is a whole world of incredible furniture waiting behind the front door of Noriega Furniture, in one way or the other.  If you want a piece which you will treasure, and will become an heirloom in its own right, this is the store for you.  (I even bought a mattress here!!  After laying on seemingly hundreds of mattresses at Mancini's, Sleep Train, Macys, and every other mattress store in town without finding what I wanted, I found it on the floor here.  Noriega only had four mattresses on their sales floor, but one of them was PERFECT, the Aireloom brand, and I got a great "floor sample discount."  Mattress nightmare solved!!)

Hi Dave,

The guys were here and they just brought in my Sofa.  I wanted to let you know that I was really impressed by them.  They were careful with my Sofa and had a bit of a hard time getting it in with the angle of my gate, etc. but they took it in stride and were quite efficient.  I was also kind of surprised because I was scheduled from 2-4.  I received a call telling me they would be late.  In this day and age one rarely receives any sort of notice.  (Customer Service seems to be lacking.)  A 2 hr window is fairly small so I expected late.  They actually arrived about 3:55.

Thanks for your customer service.  I would say that considering all the unexpected delays, you have always been most helpful.  I have been impressed by my entire experience.  Anyone can look good if everything goes as scheduled, problems really separate the wheat from the chaff.  I will probably be back in the near future to buy a swivel chair.
